The way the budget process works in South Carolina and Washington DC is a broken system that waste tax dollars at alarming rate. A lot goes in to these special funds like Parks and recreation that no one ever knows where is spent at. We have to start by making sure we Elect all state department heads to two 4 year terms. These appointed crooks are taking for ride and yes the crook that appoints them are getting their share too. We must change this. The largest budget in the state I beleive is DOT ran by an appointed crook. The most money overall involved is Insurance. Another appointed crook. We The People must take control.

This the first I have pulled website up. I love what your mission statement says. I have requested to speak at the next Spartanburg Town Hall. What I want to talk about is changing all these appointed state positions to Elected with a two four year term. Our roads will never be fixed unless we stop the Appointed DOT head. I believe with the size of DOT it should three elected positions with highway project costing more than $500,000 it require all three sign off on the Highway repair. I do not know what the DOT budget is but it is huge. I this the DOT has the largest budget in SC. We had a large gas tax that was going to repair the roads. Of course that money was wasted on something else and like most of us knew it never be used to repair roads. I voted against the tax increase. Spartanburg County has a $25.00 road fee annually. That was another promise the Road Fee was going to repair county roads. Of course the money was never to repair the roads. As long as the head of DOT is appointed it stay corrupt. The appointed insurance commissioner is another one that only for the insurance company’s and not for us. We have been more for insurance than we should for years. As long the insurance commissioner is appointed it will stay Corrupt . The insurance may not have a large operating budget, but we the people spend a huge amount of money on insurance. I think all department heads should be elected. I am one of the commissioners at Mayo Area Fire Department. We have a budget of less $500,000 and the commissioners are elected. It cost all commissioners us money to this for the community. We are not paid. And if make a mistake on our Ethics filing the ethics commission treats us like dirt. Yet they allow the crooks to get away with everything. Please everyone we have stop Columbia from becoming the super mess Washington is. We are well on our away to be as bad a swamp as Washington is.

Dave, we need to address the issue of woke corporations in SC working with the leftists in restricting our freedoms . For one thing, we must be proactive now about vaccine passports, by banding together and sending letters to the woke corporations like Walmart. We must demand that they not require these passports to shop at their stores, now that mask mandates have been canceled. If we don’t, these stores will aid the government in taking our freedom to buy and sell when the next engineered pandemic comes up.
Wouldn’t be a bad idea to put pressure on school boards who are pushing critical race theory, too.
